Hydrated Lime is used in the treatment of pulp and paper mill liquid wastes as a coagulant.
STARHLIME - Hydrated Lime ( Calcium Hydroxide )
Quicklime can be converted into dry powder called Hydrated Lime by adding water under controlled conditions. The exothermic chemical reactions which occur under this process include :
CaO + H2O = Ca(OH)2 + HEAT
Hydrated Lime is used in the treatment of pulp and paper mill liquid wastes as a coagulant in color removal, a filtration conditioner and to a lesser extent as a neutralizing agent. It is also used in the recovery of valuable by products from pulp and paper mill wastes.
